Black Styles Matter
Brief
To challenge Euro-centric definitions of “professional” attire by celebrating the elegance, sophistication, and cultural significance of African fashion within corporate spaces. The campaign explored Black identity, hair, patterns, accessories, and craftsmanship through a contemporary editorial lens.
Execution
I led the Creative Direction and Production, shaping the narrative, visual identity, casting, and full team coordination.
To ensure authenticity, the campaign exclusively featured Mozambican and African fashion brands, including Kaia (bags) and locally crafted garments. I collaborated closely with the photographer and art director to develop a visual world that merged corporate styling with cultural integrity, reframing African fashion as powerful, modern, and boardroom-ready.
